Hurricane City is a growing municipality in southwest Utah, 20 minutes from Zion National Park. First settled in 1896 and brought to life by the construction of the historic Hurricane Canal. Hurricane City has an important history of agriculture, independence, and growth.

In the last several years, Hurricane City has been one of the fastest growing cities in the state, with an average growth rate of 5%-7% per year since 2018. This growth has brought unique challenges to the area, including housing, economic development, supplying utilities, and updating services and infrastructure. Some of these challenges have required the City to hire additional staff to support the City's mission, and the City is now outgrowing the current City Hall and Police Station. As such, the City has purchased 15 acres adjacent to City Hall to construct new city buildings and services. Some of the facilities that have been considered are as follows:
