Establishment & Purpose
The Appeals Board was established as the appeal authority to hear and decide appeals of Planning Commission decisions regarding conditional use permits and administrative decisions by the zoning administrator applying the provisions of Land Use Regulations (Title 10 of Hurricane City Code).
The Appeals Board is also designated as the Land Use Authority to hear and decide the following matters:
- Applications for a determination of special exceptions to the Land Use code.
- Applications for a variance from the terms of the Land Use code.
- Applications to determine the existence, expansion, or modification of a nonconforming use or noncomplying structures as defined by the Land Use code.
