Payments

Utility payments can be made in person at the City Office in the Utility Department by check, money order, cash, credit, and debit cards (Visa and Mastercard only). Payments by check or money order may also be mailed to the Utility Department:

The Utility Office also provides two convenient drop-box locations for utility payments. An indoor drop-box is located in the lobby outside the utility office door and an outdoor drop-box is located outside in front of the City Office. Please do not leave cash payments in the drop box.

Please be aware that payments by check will not be accepted on past due accounts. These accounts must be paid by cash, money order, or credit/debit card.

Online Bill Pay

The Xpress Bill Pay is the only method approved by The City of Hurricane for online payments. You will not be charged a processing fee for using this service. Using any other online payment system may result in additional credit card fees and charges. These extra fees are not passed on to Hurricane City. If you have questions about which service you are using, please call the Utility Office at 435-635-2811.

Over the Phone Payments

The Utility Department does not accept utility payments by telephone.

Automatic Withdrawals

Customers wishing to set up automatic payments from a checking account may sign up for Automated Clearing House (ACH) direct pay through the Utility Office. ACH payments are drafted from the account on the 8th of each month. Download the ACH Authorization Form. Return the completed form with a voided check to the Utility Office. Please be aware changes to or cancellations of direct payment must be made in writing a minimum of seven days before the 8th of each month. Please download, complete, and return the ACH Cancellation Form to the Utility Office to cancel an existing ACH automatic payment for utility billings.
