Become a fan of Hurricane City Pool or Hurricane Tigersharks
Visit the City Pool Staff at the Rec Fest on May 19.
We will be doing early sign ups for all our programs!! Swim Lessons, Swim Team, Synchronized Swim Team, and Day Camp. We will have Pool Punch Passes, Aerobics Punch Passes, and Aqua Zumba Punch Passes for sale. You will be able to schedule our new Private Party area too! We will have information on our programming and be able to answer any questions you have too. This will be at Rec Fest only! Normal sign ups start on Monday May 7th at 9:00am at the pool or online. Search for Hurricane Rec Fest on Facebook or go to cityofhurricane.com for more information on this fun event.
Programs, Fees, and Dates
The Hurricane City Pool offers many swimming programs during the May to September season. Because programs, fees, dates, and times can change from season to season be sure to dowload the City Pool Calendar for details about the current season. You can also pick up a calendar at the city office or the pool front desk.
Some popular programs include:
- American Red Cross Swimming Lessons
- Open and Family Swim Hours
- Aerobics Workout Class
- Swim Team
- Synchronized Swim Teams
- Aquatic Day Camp (no lessons)
Individuals or groups may also request to rent the pool during non-scheduled hours. Requests must be made no fewer than seven days prior to the rental date. Download the City Pool Calendar for more details.
Fundamental Rules of the Pool
- All children under 6 must be accompanied in the water by a responsible person.
- All non-swimmers must be within arms length of a responsible person. (3 non-swimmers per responsible person).
- Children must be 8 or older and pass a swim test to be at the pool without an adult.
Three Layer Rule
In the effort to avoid sickness and prevent pool closures due to feces in the pool, we will be continuing to enforce our Three Layer Rule.
Rule: ALL children age 3 and under must wear Three Layers. The Three Layers are:
- Swim Pants
- Rubber Pants
- Close Fitting Swim Suit
No Exceptions!
Children four and five years old that are potty-trained are asked to wear an additional layer of close fitting underwear beneath their swim suit.
Please take your children to the restroom hourly, wash hands with soap and water, and observe our "Shower-Before-Entering" rule each time.
