Overview

The Engineering Department has the responsibility to coordinate, review and approve all private-funded public improvements initiated by the development community, beginning with design through the actual construction and eventual final acceptance. In addition, the City Engineer has project review and management of many of the City's Capital Improvement Projects. The City Engineer's office also is responsible for updating the Design Standards, Construction Specifications and Standard Drawings book.


Joint Utility Committee

In cooperation with Public Works, the City Engineer hosts the meetings of the Joint Utility Committee (JUC).
