The Hurricane City Power Board serves as an advisory board to the city council on all issues with respect to development, production, purchase and distribution of all electric power services by the city operated Power Department. Historically, the Power Board has aggressively researched new resources to ensure stable cost of competitive power.

The Hurricane City Power Board consists of five (5) members, one of whom shall be a member of the city council and/or mayor. All members of the board shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council.

Power Board meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month at 3:00 PM in the Power Department meeting room, 526 W 600 N. The public is invited to attend these meetings.
