Hurricane City will be hosting their 2012 Rec Fest on Saturday, May 19th from 10am to 6pm at the Community Center (63 South 100 West).
Follow us on Facebook for regular updates!
Rec Fest is short for Recreation Festival, intended to showcase and promote the many recreational opportunities in the area with businesses, parks, and the open space we enjoy in the Hurricane Valley. Presented by Maverick, the Rec Fest will provide participants the opportunity to "try out" and/or learn about different recreational activities throughout the day. There will also be music, food, and free stuff! For the younger kids they can buy tickets to play carnival style games and win prizes at the Mountain America Credit Union Fun Zone! For the older kids and adults they can try out more challenging activities at the Back in Balance Chiropractic Extreme Sports Venue! For those who prefer to watch others participate in recreational activities we will have several different exhibitions scheduled throughout the day such as Martial Arts and Rock Crawling. Bring your whole family to "get out and play" because there will be something for everyone at the Hurricane Rec Fest!
The National Guard was going to bring a mechanical bull to our Rec Fest this year, but we were informed today (4/13/12) that it is out of service and needs to be repaired so it won't be available for the Rec Fest this year.
Following is a list of some of the activities available to participate in during the Rec Fest:
Local businesses, clubs, and recreational groups will have information or free stuff to hand out!
